Getting on route.bz from Telegram

One tap signs you up, one tap signs you in, and while you work your phone tells the map where you are so stops and cores land where you actually were. Nothing runs in the background except Telegram.

Sign up (once, about a minute)

  1. Install Telegram if you don't have it, and sign in with your phone number.
  2. Open the invite link your operator sent you. It looks like t.me/yycroadbot?start=rbz-…
  3. Telegram opens the road bot. Tap Start.
  4. The bot answers with a sign-in link. Tap it: you land on the map, signed in, no username or password to type.
Need to sign in again later (new phone, signed out)? Open the same invite link and tap Start again; the bot sends a fresh link. Each link works once.

Let the map follow you (once)

  1. iPhone: Settings → Telegram → Location, choose Always and turn Precise Location on.
  2. Settings → General → Background App Refresh: make sure Telegram is on.

Each day you go out

  1. In the road bot's chat, tap the paperclip (📎) → Location → Share My Live Location.
  2. Pick 8 hours (or "until I turn it off" if your Telegram offers it). Tap Share.
  3. That's it. Telegram sends your position every few seconds while the share runs. Stop sharing from the same chat when you're done.
A bot cannot ask your phone for a position: only a running share sends one. If the map says no GPS, the share has ended or Location is not set to Always.

Cores

route.bz/core lists the day's cores by structure. Stop, pull, then tap the core and type the metres and thickness, or pick the stop the map detected and let it fill the location.

Your account

Your lists and saved places are private to your account; nothing is shared with other users. Sign out from the Places panel. If you would rather have a username and password, create an account with the invite code instead.
